BAR MANAGER

Job Title: Bar Manager

Department: Restaurant

Reports To: Ownership

Job Description:

Manage staff and operation of Guernsey Restaurant. Provide exemplary service in a friendly, professional and timely manner while following safety and sanitation standards.  Assist in meeting restaurant’s service, quality and profitability goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge of overall business
  • Implement policy and procedure and develop plans when necessary
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Work closely with ownership to meet revenue objectives
  • Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales
  • Participate in a team effort to always maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work environment while following safety and safe food handling procedures required by OSHA, Oakland County Health Department, and Guernsey’s company guidelines and procedures
  • Develop and implement creative solutions in areas of improvement
  • Conduct staff and daily pre-shift meetings when necessary
  • Assist in any and all areas of the business when staffing constraints require or if staff is in need of assisting to better serve our guest
  • May be subject to other duties as assigned by ownership
  • Ensure the bar is stocked and inviting to customers
  • Maintain liquor licensing and ensure that staff is following local regulations. Negotiate supplier contracts and maintain inventory
  • Overall craft beer, wine and cocktail knowledge

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Outgoing and self-motivated. Reliable transportation. Customer service oriented. Time management skills. Teamwork orientated. TIPS certified.

Physical Demands:

Required to talk or hear. Required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.  Able to lift/move 50 pounds.

Physical Appearance:

Professional appearance and proper grooming. Present a neat, clean, appropriately groomed appearance.  Specific dress code requirements.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED. 5 year’s customer service experience in restaurant/hospitality. Experience with touch sensitive POS System.

RESTAURANT MANAGER

Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Department: Restaurant

Job Description:

Manage staff and operation of Guernsey Restaurant. Provide exemplary service in a friendly, professional and timely manner while following safety and sanitation standards.  Assist in meeting restaurant’s service, quality and profitability goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and delegate responsibilities to staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved
  • Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge of overall business
  • Implement policy and procedure and develop plans when necessary
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Work closely with ownership to meet revenue objectives
  • Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales
  • Participate in a team effort to always maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work environment while following safety and safe food handling procedures required by OSHA, Oakland County Health Department, and Guernsey’s company guidelines and procedures
  • Consistently monitor product and labor cost to remain within goals
